All businesses have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, most negatively, some positively.

As the focus shifts from dealing with the immediate health emergency to the economic crisis caused by COVID-19, a key question is how is the impact differing across the globe and, more importantly, what can we expect to see here in the North-east in the months ahead?

Join us as we hear from Hann-Ju Ho, senior economist, Lloyds Bank, who will provide an overview of the global economic and financial market impact of the coronavirus; the policy responses from governments and central banks; and risks to the economic outlook. He will also provide insights on the UK economy, including the latest results of the Lloyds Business Barometer survey.

Providing local context is Dougie Peedle, senior economist at CBI and member of the Aberdeen Economic Policy Panel, who will reflect on the challenges facing our regional economy and key sectors.

With a call to action from Russell Borthwick, attendees will also hear about North East Now, a brand new initiative which will help people across the North-east to play their part in boosting the North-east economy in the weeks and months ahead.
