Being mindful at work?

I've recently re-started everyday use of the Headspace app - an accessible form of mindfulness meditation. When I started the journey of using it about 3 years ago I thought it was all about taking the opportunity for calm serenity, reflection & focus for 10 minutes or so a day.  Now I've become to realise it's about so much more. Being mindful & thinking about 'living in the moment' is about the everyday as much as the bigger picture.  This week I've felt the benefit at work, with more focus, more positive conversations & being able to spend time on the right things to make time down the line. I've felt much more self-aware.  How do you take a mindful approach at work?

  • Catherine this is a great post ;-) I have dabbled with mindfulness and meditation but would like to make it a habit which I know takes dedication and consistency so it's great to see that it's making more of an impact than you initial expected.
  • So important to take some time out, I always try and get out for a walk at lunch and I quite like the breathe app too :)
  • I also use the headspace app, I find it brilliant to assist with my anxiety when im out and about.
  • Headspace is a great app! There's another I use called Calm. It is more for sound but still good for a time out once you grasp the basics of meditation!
