Importantly, the awards also help to create more business role models to inspire the next generation of leaders. “It is more important than at any other time for women to enter the awards this year. These awards provide the perfect platform for women across all sectors in Scotland to showcase the vital contribution they are making to our business ecosystem. We need more women to step forward and help us close the gender gap in enterprise, with just 20 per cent of SMEs in Scotland currently being majority owned and led by women.” - Lynne Kennedy MBE, founder of Business Women Scotland.
