Change - good or bad?

So, what has everyone been doing with their time recently? Me, I’ve been working on refreshing my website. It's been a few years since I touched the website and given how fast things move in the world of the internet I thought it was probably time to 'snazz' things up a bit. It's not a major overhaul and I'm not changing a lot just the look and feel and of the website. At least that is what I hope to acheive.

With the changes being made it got me thinking of when I first set up my business 7 years ago. I can't believe its been 7 years it still feels like it was only yesterday. It's amazing how when you start out you think you have a clear image of how things will be and what you want to acheive. At least that is what I am told by others. In my case, I fell into it and I'm still learning. Oh, how things change. Literally everything. I role with the changes, learn from my mistakes and move forward. This made me look back on my first logo now I am not saying my first logo was a mistake just different. It's good to look back and see where you have been and how things have changed. Don't get me wrong I still like the first logo but I feel the logo I use now is more clean and simple; when I look at it that the 'feeling' I get.

Anyway, enough with the rambling, my website is almost done and I can’t wait to show it to everyone. I'll keep you posted. In the meantime, here is a photo of the original logo and the new one...

  • That's a job on my 'to do list' too! Congrats on 7 years. I totally get what you're saying about falling into it and still learning. Every day is a school day when you're running your own business.

I think both logos are good but the newer one is definitely cleaner and slicker :-)

    • Hi Jeanette and thanks.

Yes, it was something I had thought about doing and kept falling to the bottom of the to do list!. I have a little more time and decided now was as good a time as any! It always takes longer than you think. Well for me but maybe that is because I over think things!

Nice to hear you think taht the new logo is cleaner and slicker. :-D

  • Hi Carol, website updating isn't my favourite thing in the world so well done to you getting around to it!! Huge congrats on 7 years :)

    • Yeah, I hear you. It takes so long to do and that is after all the faffing...

I would often feel like I was going round in circles especially with the content. Sometimes, I had to park it and take a break away from it to clear my head. That often helped makes things clearer.

      Thanks :-)

  • Well done Carole! And does 7 years feel like 70 years or 7 minutes?!

    • Haha thanks. There will hopefully be a little more interaction coming...

And it definitely feels like 7 minutes. How I have no idea!
