Happy New Year everyone! I realise that while I was very distracted/lost in the Christmas & NY crossover, I had forgotton to post this tip (which was mentioned in the last community email!) My apologies if anyone was looking out for it. Although it's more suited to the first working week back, so hopefully more appreciated now!
Now, masks are something that we’ve all been wearing a lot more of this year! But do you also wear a mask online? By this I mean - do you have a profile picture?
Ask yourself this, would you walk into a networking environment wearing a balaclava?
If your answer is NO! then, let’s make sure that your profile picture is uploaded asap. There’s often a debate on what types of photos are suitable for a business profile, most commonly, people respond best to those who:
- Use clear semi-professional or professional headshot photos (if you need a photographer recommendation, please comment below!)
- Use a photo of themselves instead of a teamshot or company logo
It’s also a good idea to match the photo you use across your business profiles, so the one you use on Linkedin, upload here too! This will help you to become recognised much more easily.
ANY photo is better than none! ABN’rs report that they are less likely to engage, respond and connect with a profile that doesn’t have a profile photo.
