4349176343?profile=RESIZE_710xAccess to government help for small businesses, advice on how to avoid insolvency and building a business back are some of the topics to be discussed in a virtual version of the Business Women Scotland Roadshow event.

In a bid to continue to offer business owners the opportunity to network and share experiences in the ever-changing economic landscape, Business Women Scotland will be screening its Roadshow event on April 17 on YouTube.

The usual one-day event for women in business or those thinking of starting up has been changed to meet the needs of business owners in the current climate. It has never been a more urgent time for business owners and entrepreneurs to get help and advice to stay afloat.

“No one has experienced anything like the current crisis affecting global markets but some of our speakers have been through the 2008 financial crisis and came out the other end,” said Lynne Kennedy MBE, founder of Business Women Scotland.

“They have solid advice that will get us all through the next few months.”

Among the speakers are Tricia Halliday, director of chartered accountants Martin Aitken, who will focus on advice for struggling businesses; leadership coach Kirsty Mac; and Susie Fraser, managing director of digital marketing agency Adeo.

A panel of experts including Yvonne Greeves, head of women in banking at Royal Bank of Scotland; executive coach and mentor June Walker and Michelle Ferguson, director of Scotland’s Bravest Manufacturing Company will answer questions that have been sent in.

The virtual Roadshow has been sponsored by Martin Aitken accountants, Murphy Wealth and Scotland Can Do, Scottish Government.

Access to the virtual Roadshow from April 17 is free to Business Women Scotland members and £10 to non-members at bwsltd.co.uk/event/bwsbusinessroadshow-online/

Membership of Business Women Scotland costs from £48 and includes access to support and advice as well as courses and training. To find out more visit bwsltd.co.uk/benefits/
