If you could turn back time...

Warning this isn't business related, a wee social experiment.

If there was a possibility of whizzin back in time for a night out, what Aberdeen bars would you visit and what year would it be? If you are not an Aberdonian please get involved and tell me about your local nightspots and your go to year.

Personally my trip back in time would take me to Paramount, Charlies, Bardot and Bex Bar and the era would be the summer of 1996.

  • Great post, Paul! Did a bit of drinking at Breakers in Montrose as teenagers back in the late 80's. What I remember was great fun! Pic below

  • Brilliant question!

For me it would be 2008 when I would start the night at Priory, then move on to Charlies and Liquid. (Carpets in a night club had to be the worst idea ever)

    • If memory serves me right most clubs were carpeted back in the 90s, ZUU,Ministry, Zig Zags, Cotton Club all had you peeling your feet off he floor when heading to the bar.

      Happy memories 😉

  •  As a die hard Dandy of a certain vintage, it would have to be 2 specific nights in 1983 😊

    And obviously

    • I'm old enough to remember this and the great European nights at pittodrie, I was in the beachend fo the FC Bayern game as a 7 year old.

I play quite a lot of golf with the the goalie, of course he's a legend but on the golf course he's just Jim and one of the boys with slightly better football career/stories that any of the rest of us.

      • Brilliant memories Paul, I was in the South Stand with my now dearly departed Dad and older brother, and I should have said the Dutch Mill for aftermatch pint or coke as it was in my case, as I was 15  :)

Aye Jim is definitely a legend on and off the pitch :)
