Make ABN an app!

One of the best things I've done, to ensure I engage regularly with this community, is to make ABN an "app" on my smartphone.

By that I mean saving a link to the homepage to the home screen of my phone, so that the little icon takes me straight to my newsfeed.

Now I can access ABN just as I'd access LinkedIn or any other inferior business community tool...

How?

With yourabn.co.uk loaded in your mobile browser (Chrome, Safari) just access settings and find an option like "Add to homescreen". Presto.

So simple and yet effective if you remember which I never did. Cheers for sharing Adam. Funny enough I "Add to Homescreen" playlists on Spotify all the time on my mobile but always forget you can do it with so much more, like ABN website. No more big screen browsing of ABN.

  Love it, Ian! You're so right, for me it's just about making the site accessible where I spend most of my time, on my phone! Now I can engage when I'm in transit, in a quiet moment, at lunch...etc.!

  Oh that's ace!! One benefit of *most* websites now being mobile responsive, is that they work just fine on a phone. Then, they just need to be accessible, "like an app" - to create the right experience. So rather than spend £xxx,xxx having an app developed...I encourage most businesses to review if their existing site can just be optimised for use like this!
