Here's my little Peanut (6.5mnths JackChi) for attention! Chances are, this discussion caught your eye on the homepage discussion forum, even if I slipped further down the page.
Adding a picture to the top (more on this below) of your discussion post is a great way to encourage engagement and clicks.
A photo related to your post would be ideal, but a graphic/cartoon/drawing would also help. Here's how to do it:
First, click on the image icon at the top of the text box.
Here's a few adjustments I make before pressing OK. My photos are usually big, so I size down so that it doesn't take over the homepage or my text below.
Now, why is it important to add an image to the top?
A couple of reasons!
1. It will appear on the homepage, and this is important when attracting those clicks! You'll find that some discussions include images but they've been added below the text. Our homepage won't pick all of this up, as you only see a snippet.
2. It will appear on social shares. Here's what I mean by that:
