Hi All

For those who have seen on LinkedIn, I am very happy to announce I have recently become engaged. We are in the very early parts of planning so are primarily looking for your favourite wedding venues in Scotland. Whether it was your wedding day or just one you've attended, I would love to hear about it.

We are also looking for wedding band/photographer recommendations as a secondary point but need the venue sorted first.

Hoping ABN network can help give me the right kind of headache with too many choices!

congratulations. I publish the Grampian Wedding Directory and run Your Wedding Exhibition which is 18-19 Jan 2020 at TECA.
we have many suppliers ready to help you plan your wedding and happy to answer any questions you might have.

  Thanks Simon-we are attending one at TECA towards end of Sept but no doubt will likely be at further ones including your one come January. Just about got the venue sorted (down to final 3 haha!) but will have so much more to sort once the venue is booked!

  I've been to Prestonfield before for a dinner and it was fantastic so I will definitely have a look at it.
  
  Thanks for the recommendation for the photographer too-I've added this to the list as we are holding off contacting photographers/bands until we have a date but all of this is very helpful!

Fanastic news Tom - congratulations! I was at a wedding recently at Barn at Barra Castle and it was a fantastic venue - just a little bit different.
If you need help planning your honeymoon when you get to that stage just let me know :-)

  Thanks Carmen-this is already on our shortlist (along with 18 others believe it or not!). Thankfully we are confident we will be able to cut it down fairly swiftly!

Congratulations Tom - great pic.

I got married at Haddo House a long time ago now but it was just perfect. We got married in the drawing room and our meal in the dining room which suited us as it was a small intimate do. They do cater for larger weddings too though. We also looked at Fyvie Castle which was amazing but just too big for what we needed. I think most National Trust properties do weddings.

I would highly recommend Martin Leckie https://www.martinleckie.com for photos, he is by far the best photographer I have come across and even after 15 years I still love looking at my album.

Hi Tom. Congratulations on your engagement.

Myself and my partner got married at the lodge on loch Goil. In a treehouse! The views are absolutely spectacular and the venue is solely for you and your wedding party which adds to the experience. The venue also provides you with a wedding planner named Debbie who is definitely beyond organised and gets in to the detail of what you both want from your special day.
