Finally getting things done during lockdown!

Which tasks, projects or new hobbies have you finally been able to start during the lockdown?

For example - any work round the house, books you've finally got round to reading (guess what I'm about to plug!!) or any new hobbies you finally have time to start? Either with your work or business?

And if you are reading more non-fiction books during the lockdown - or looking for ideas for books to read - then you are very welcome to join my book group! Some great book recommendations that could help your work and business - and of course it would be great to see your own recommendations in the group too. Still plan networking events too, when things can get back to normal.

Going back to the start of the post - which tasks have you finally started or completed (reading or otherwise) since the lockdown started?

  • I have completed some lovely mindfulness colouring pictures! That is my one diiferent activity during these different times. I find it very soothing. Choosing the colours takes huge concentration and can empty all the other thoughts!4556349094?profile=RESIZE_930x4556431497?profile=RESIZE_930x

    • Hi Gillian, both those pictures look amazing! :-)

      • Too kind!! Thank you.

        • Gorgeous Gillian. Well done.

  • Been catching up with reading for sure and loving it. The interesting thing is actually pausing to get the tasks in the books done before moving on. Very refreshing.

I have have also been baking lots. Banana bread turned out Awesomeeeeeee.

    Hope you are well.

    • That's great to hear Ola, both with the reading and banana bread.

Lots of baking here too, although banana loaf is not something I've made for a while! :-)

  • I have actually stopped reading books which is odd as normally read every night. Haven't consciously decided not to read just been going straight to sleep instead.

I have nearly finished the machine learning courses that I started at Christmas which is good, getting time to stretch my brain, which could be why I'm going to sleep.

    • That's great to hear Mark - hope you have enjoyed having your brain stretched from the machine learning course! :-)

      • I did but re-learning linear algebra and bits of calculus that I had blotted out my brain after Uni was a bit traumatic!

  • I've been reading more and also started meditating. I am finding that it is really helping me relax and sleep much better than usual.
