  • The buck stops with you! Having nobody to answer to, and the ability to make your own decisions is great, but of course the same applies if things go wrong... I wouldn't change it though!

  • I was self employed for years and summarise it as follows - "The best thing was the flexibility, the worst thing was the flexibility". It is a great thing, when things are positive. When it gets tough, it is very easy to stray off course. My work allowed me to work random hours which I think was my main hurdle. However if you can be self employed and permanently busy and therefore permanently focused....it is a fab place to be! Enjoy it and best of luck.

  • Flexibility is the biggest advantage - and not having to wait for permission to make a decision - but there sure are a lot of things to juggle!
