I don't know about you, but I have a list - a list of things to do. On that list, there's always one thing that gets put off - it's easy to find excuses not to do it.
In my line of work, I often hear phrases like "I know I should be doing video, but..." and "My social media could be so much more effective if I use video, but...".
So, I'm curious - what's your ", but..."?

I think my honest answer would be loss of confidence.
I have great services to offer and love it when I help someone to engage (further) with them, but FEAR (False Expectations Appearing Real) USED to stop me picking up the phone.
There is much I want to achieve, a life full of choices for myself and as many others who choose to engage with me.
So Diana, and others, expect a call soon :-)
Oh, I love a to do list - I think I have about 3 on my desk at the moment.
I don't really have a, but.... But - I procrastinate A LOT and get distracted by social media. My plan with social media is to go on, reply to comments and messages and then continue my work (normally photo editing - which I don't particulary enjoy doing), unfortunately more often than not I end up scolling aimlessly for a while and wasting precious time...
I'm going to check out the book Iain recommended, it sounds interesting!
Hi Diana,
A very interesting discussion point!
I once suffered from this - I have improved but still not a productivity master. A great book I read to help me with this is "eat that frog" I advise all my management team to read it and they have certainly benefitted from it.
I also try and allocate jobs to a specific time within my schedule rather than use a list - This does mean my calender does become very full but it does mean that I can focus in on my tasks to complete.
ooo, I'm going to pop that book on my wishlist. Thanks Iain!
IT'S A VERY GOOD QUESTION, DIANA! I LOVE TO DO LISTS, ALWAYS HAVE, AND FOR A LONG TIME I USED TO HATE THEM BECAUSE I COULD SEE FAILURE INSTEAD OF SUCCESS WHEN I COULDN'T ACCOMPLISH THEM. BUT, ONE DAY I JUST DECIDED THAT NO MORE "BUTS", I SIMPLY LOVE TO DO LISTS! :)
I love your discipline Mariana! There’s hope for us all yet! Have a great weekend
Have a great weekend, too, diana! xx
But I'm to tired, or But theres not enough hours in the day, or my favourite, But its not my job!- Last one is not one of my own, but one I hear all to often.
There never seems to be enough hours in the day does there Scott! And for those who think it's "not my job" - they should try being self-employed!!!
