The eagle-eyed among you may have already noticed our new features!
We've finally introduced tagging within comments, and a live tracker of members online.
We really hope to see an even bigger increase in site activity as a result, benefitting us all (and it seems to be working so far!)
So, here's a little run through of the what's new:
TAGGING
As you'll probably already be familiar with if you use other social media platforms, tagging enables you to mention someone else in a comment. They'll receive a notification of the mention, prompting them to log in and check it out.
It's also a great way of recommending someone, for example - if someone posts a discussion looking for a financial advisor, you may @someone for them to go ahead and contact.
I've added more info about tagging in this tip such as how to make sure your notifications are on, you wouldn't want to miss a mention!
MEMBERS ONLINE
Our second new feature shows who's currently online.
Simply check out the member directory and you'll see a new box titled 'Members Online' like so:
You'll also be able to tell if a member is currently online by the little green dot next to their name on their profile:
My thinking is that there's still some fine-tuning to do to this feature, but it's a good indicator to start with!

Just a wee reminder that tagging only works within the comments section of your post, not within the post itself!
You could of course link to the members profile within your post but for them to be 'tagged' & receive a notification then it has to be down in the comments section.
Any problems with the features, let me know!
