It was a great opportunity to talk about how businesses or individuals can help Gathimba Edwards Foundation by sponsoring a child.
Like Gladys in my photo... she’s 12 years old and only in P3 in Kenya. While most kids in the UK would be starting high school Gladys is so far behind because her parents only make £2 a day - and that’s on a good day! She is only in school now because a local teacher has helped her but is now struggling to help, so Gladys risks being sent home from school again from lack of fees.
Every child deserves an education. I wonder myself where I’d be today had I not had the chance to go to secondary school, uni or even primary school?
